About Us

QuickStart at CCC offers tennis lessons for beginner/youth tennis players in the Fort Worth/Arlington, Texas area on 12 new QuickStart courts. The objective is to reach as many people in our community as possible and give them the pleasure and experience of tennis.

We want all family members to find a life-long relationship with the sport, and for all youth to have a healthy and fun outlet for staying active. As an initial incentive, We would like to give each participant who signs up for a series of lessons a free QuickStart tennis racquet. We believe that having one’s own piece of equipment will encourage practice and play between lessons!

Clinics are occurring at Cotton Creek Club, to which many beginner and school-age children in the area have been invited. Many events that are scheduled to take place will ensure continued interest in our program. Tournaments are coming up in hopes of growing community involvement.

Media coverage has occurred for the opening events and updated press releases will be sent regularly to community papers and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram emphasizing the siteCotton Creek Club in Fort Worth, Texas, is first in Texas and foremost in the nation with its 12 permanent QuickStart tennis courts!

Collaboration has occurred with the United States Tennis Association, Cotton Creek Club, Texas Tennis Association, and multiple local and regionally tennis-sponsored associations. This 19 month project has resulted 12 permanent QuickStart courts, over 500 participants in free events and activities, 3 free clinics for parents and adults, and over 30 volunteers.

Countless hours have been put into this project, and the initial success has been overwhelming! I would love to continue this as a community-sponsored program, and still need financial resources to cover equipment costs for beginning tennis players. Along with a fantastic kick-off, these courts have opened doors to partnering with the Andy Roddick Foundation, Special Olympics, and Wheel-Chair tennis!

How Can Others Get Involved?

Our program needs community involvement and diversity to build our youth’s tennis. We have the initial support of many groups that will aid in partnering with Cotton Creek Club: USTA, USTA TX SECTION,  CCC Academy; as well as tentative future support from the following organizations (we have already begun a dialogue with them): Boys and Girls Club of Arlington, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Keene and Associates, Blue-Line Electronics, Woodforest Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank. We expect that CCC’s QuickStart program will quickly become self-sufficient. We are very interested in your partnership or support of our project and the game. Partnerships are available, but if you cannot give financially, help us advertise for the growth of tennis ACROSS THE NATION! Please visit the website http://partners.quickstarttennis.com/ and add it as a link to help you and your community get active in tennis!
